ROB Purdie has been named Hereford United's player of the year.

The Bulls skipper was given the award at HUISA's awards presentation evening at the Starlite Rooms.

It's a second success for Purdie who won the award in Hereford's first season back in the Football League in 2006-7.

Tom Barkhuizen, who was runner-up in the main award, collected the away player of the year.

Ryan Green finished in third place.

The player's player of the year award went to Michael Townsend.
