The duo starred in the sunshine and carded an unassailable score of 49 points. Joan Malim and Maureen Turner also played well and achieved the runner-up spot with 43 points. Martha Norton and Christine Downs carded 42 points to achieve third place. Meanwhile, Dale Gribble enjoyed one of his most effective rounds to win the annual Winston Wildsmith Salver, which attracted a 133-strong field.
