I FIND the situation facing my father, who is 92 years old next month, is a disgrace. He has served his country, paid his taxes all his working life and is a very proud man. TWO birthday cards were posted in Telford on Wednesday, one for Hereford 66 miles away, the other for Melbourne, 10,000 miles away. There was a first-class stamp on the one for Hereford. Melbourne cost £1.67.
