Wellington council and celebrations

COUNCIL - The next meeting of Wellington Parish Council is on Thursday, May 31, at 7.30pm in the Community Centre. Included on the agenda will be an update on the new parish website, an update on the shop/Post Office/parish room building project and news of the attempt to obtain a 30mph speed limit past the primary school.

CELEBRATIONS - Wellington Church is holding its Diamond Jubilee fete and barbecue on Saturday, June 2, noon-3pm, at The Stocks House, Wellington. There will be many stalls, including, plants, books and cakes, games for children, teas and a bar. The fete will start the Diamond Jubilee Fun Week, during which scarecrows will be displayed through the village and there will be fun and entertainment throughout the week.
