CHORAL SOCIETY - More than 130 singers of all ages gathered for an afternoon choral singing workshop organised by Kington Choral Society (KCS) at St Mary’s Church, under the baton of its director of music, Roger Langford. This was followed by an evening performance of Faure’s Requiem Singers attended from as far away as Brecon and Gloucester for the charity event which raised money for Homestart (Kington), the Alzheimer’s Society’s Singing for the Brain project – which is run in Herefordshire by Roger – and the KCS Artist Fund. There are further fund-raising events organised for later in the year. Watch this space for details.
