A MAN who threw a Herefordshire man in front of a moving train has been given a six month prison sentence - suspended for two years.
Daniel Worgan, aged 24, of Hadley Road, Oakengates, Telford, grabbed hold of his 23-year-old victim, who is from Wigmore, and threw him 180 degrees towards the moving freight train at Shrewsbury Railway Station.
The victim hit the train and fell down onto the platform, with part of his body hanging over the edge between the platform and the moving train.
His friend then ran forward and pulled him back from the platform edge and away from the train.
Worgan pleaded guilty to endangering the safety of persons on a railway following the incident last July and was sentenced at Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday.
