A FORMER Hereford-based SAS sergeant controversially locked up will have his appeal heard next week.
Sergeant Danny Nightingale's case has received national attention in the past few days and was the subject of a House of Commons debate on Tuesday.
The 37-year-old was sentenced to 18 months in military detention after he admitted possessing a 9mm Glock pistol, along with ammunition, during a court martial hearing.
The items were found during a search of his service accommodation near Hereford in September last year.
His appeal is expected to be heard at London's Court of Appeal next Thursday.
