Twilight walk for cancer carers I AM calling on your readers to sign up and Walk Ten for Marie Curie Cancer Care at Croft Castle, near Leominster on August 18.

Walk Ten is a series of unique 10k summer twilight walks and celebrations taking place at 25 beautiful venues across the UK, sponsored by home emergency insurer HomeServe.

It costs £10 to register in advance (£20 on the night), while under-16s go free with a paying adult, and everyone is then asked to raise as much as they can to support Marie Curie Cancer Care.

It only costs £20 for an hour of care and all the funds raised from Walk Ten will help Marie Curie nurses to provide more of this to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes and in the Marie Curie Hospice, Penarth.

At the end of the walk, there will be picnics, music and, at 10pm, fireworks for everyone to enjoy with friends and family.

Walk Ten at Croft Castle will be a magical occasion and I hope many people will come along to enjoy it.

Please do bring along your fourlegged friends for free as well – although do be aware there will be fireworks.
