Time for another ‘rubbish’ campaign

This article is brought to you by our exclusive subscriber partnership with our sister title USA Today, and has been written by our American colleagues. It does not necessarily reflect the view of The Herald.

THANK you Hereford Times for yet again publishing the letters about the state of our city (I remember your previous Don’t rubbish Hereford campaign).

The points made about rubbish and neglect are so true - footpaths cycle-ways, underpasses and streets are neglected and dirty with rubbish and graffiti. This does not encourage pride in our city.

Cities with strict cleaning and renovating action plans are usually kept cleaner because people take care of cities that look well cared for.

There is much talk of building new while neglecting what is there already.

SUE JENKINS, Hereford.
