WORKING PARTY – Tomorrow (Friday) at 10am, a working party will endeavour to tidy parts of the churchyard. Volunteers with gardening equipment will be made very welcome.
SERVICE – Service for the Eardisley group of parishes will take place in St Mary’s Church on Sunday, November 30, starting at 10am.
SOCIAL CLUB – Almeley Social Club enjoyed a successful day out at Stokesay Castle on Wednesday, November 12. Its next event will take the form of a festive entertainment extravaganza in the village hall on Saturday, December 13. SOCIAL WHIST DRIVE – The series of whist drives in the village hall, the proceeds for which are in aid of the Air Ambulance, continue to be well supported. On Tuesday, November 11, prizes were won by Irene Hills, Terry Beaumont, Mario Battenti, Mary Gates, Margaret Price, Anne Preece, Cynthia Clayton Evelyn Exton and Roger Kerrigan. The next whist drive will be on Tuesday, November 25, with play commencing at 7.45pm.
