Shortlist for Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce awards announced

HEREFORDSHIRE companies are competing for Chamber of Commerce awards.
The Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce has revealed the shortlist of entries for the Chamber Business Awards 2012.
IA Technology, an electronics and electro mechanical turnkey solutions company, and IE Developments, a property developer, both from Hereford will be competing in the Central Technology Belt Award for Excellence through Innovation category.
Gelpack Excelsior, a manufacturer of polythene and combustible bags and films from Grandstand Road in Hereford, has been shortlisted in the Malvern Instruments Award for Achievement in International Business
Woolhope Woodheat, a community co-operative from Fownhope which installs wood fuel boilers free to hard-to heat buildings, will compete in the University of Worcester Sustainability Award.
In the Oakland International Award for Growth Business in Herefordshire, four companies will battle it out including two renewable energy companies, Greenearth Energy from Pontrilas and Caplor Energy from Fownhope, alongside security risk management Ambrey Risk from Brockhampton and IA Technology from Hereford.
Mike Ashton, chief executive of Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, said: "The quality of the entries this year was amazing, we have a lot of business within Herefordshire that we can be really proud of and I am glad that we have the opportunity to celebrate their successes."
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern Thursday September 20.
