Herefordshire Business News: Tyrrells launch tortilla snack

HEREFORDSHIRE crisp manufacturer Tyrrells has given the Mexican tortilla a British twist.

Tyrrells, based at Stretford Bridge, near Leominster, has launched a new product, an English tortilla chip. The TorTyrrells Tortillas range, mixes traditional corn chips with English herbs and seasonings.

Current flavours include Glastonbury Cheddar and Caramelised Onion, Rather Hot English Chilli and Somerset Sour Cream.

Oliver Rudgard, marketing director at Tyrrells, said: “We’re really excited about entering this segment of the market. TorTyrrells Tortillas is a premium and distinctive English take on a classic Mexican Tortilla.”
