Motorcyclist injured in Leintwardine crash

A motorcyclist has been flown to hospital with head injuries after falling from his bike on the Herefordshire / Shropshire border.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the outskirts of Adforton, Leintwardine , shortly after 8.30am today.

An ambulance crew and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended.

The motorcyclist, a man in his forties, had fallen from his bike and ended up in a hedge.

An ambulance spokesman said he had abdominal, back and head injuries but was in a stable condition at the scene.

He was immobilised and flown to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
