Bromyard scheme to protect elderly from unwanted callers to expand

A SCHEME to protect the elderly from unwanted callers is being expanded.

West Mercia Police have hailed the success of the Nominated Neighbours scheme in Bromyard.

People calling on vulnerable or elderly residents are signposted to a neighbour who can answer on the owner’s behalf.

CSO Pete Knight said the scheme had provided “considerable reassurance”

since its launch. Residents can sign-up by calling him at on 0300 333 3000.
