Biker taken to hospital after collision

A BIKER was taken to hospital following a collision on the A44 Bromyard Road this morning.

A motorcycle was in collision with a lorry near the Wheatsheaf Inn at Whitbourne at around 9.30am.

The road was closed for about an hour between the B4197 and the B4220 and a divesion was put in place.

Police press officer Neil Tipton said the rider is thought to have come off his bike before it was in collision with the lorry.

He said the rider was taken to Worcester Royal Hospital with a leg injury which was not thought to be life threatening.
