A FORMER Apprentice contestant who has been on the wrong end of Sir Alan Sugar’s infamous phrase “You’re Fired!” has spoken of her boardroom experience to students at a Hereford college.

Dr Sophie Kain, who appeared in series three of the BBC show, visited the Hereford College of Arts on Folly Lane to reveal how the programme works, what Sir Alan is really like, and how her fellow contestants were portrayed.

The college’s student liaison officer, Joe Schiavon, said the talk had been a great success.

“With The Apprentice being so popular on television, we wanted to make the talk really current,” he said. “It attracted interest from different areas of the college, with around 100 students attending.” Dr Kain was voted out of last year’s series in week four.
