A NUMBER of roads will be closed in Ross-on-Wye when work starts to renew and refurbish water mains in the town.

Welsh Water says the works are essential to improve the quality of water supply in Ross and, in deciding on the road closures, Herefordshire Council has drawn up a plan in consultation with town and county councillors to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum.

The roads closed will be: April 7 - Smallbrook Road for two weeks; April 21 - Chase Road, closed for one week; April 28 - Copse Cross Street and High Street (part), for two weeks; May 12 - Station Street and High Street junction, closed for three days.
