A TEENAGER from Munstone is to skydive on Saturday in aid of Parkinson's UK.

Jamie Coombe, aged 18, is doing it because his father Ian was diagnosed with the condition 10 years ago at the age of 55.

Ian originally registered to do the skydive, but because of his ill health, Jamie has stepped in.

"Everybody I have spoken to says that skydiving is the most amazing experience and they would do it again," said Jamie.

"I want to skydive for the adrenaline rush it provides and to support my Dad who has Parkinson's.

"I also want to raise funds for the local Parkinson's UK group he attends who have been a big help and support to him and our family.

"I don't think people know enough about Parkinson's and how it affects your everyday life.

"I hope that by spreading the word about the skydive, we will get people talking about Parkinson's."

Jamie's skydive will be at Netheravon Airfield, near Salisbury in Wiltshire and he hopes to raise £900.
