A NEW two-storey home set to help a resident with an auto-immune condition has got the go-ahead from planners.
Colwall Parish Council “strongly objected” to the proposal because it is located outside a settlement boundary.
But architect Mark Barry, for his firm Architype, told Herefordshire Council's planning committee the house would not have a detrimental affect on the nearby Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The house, on land at Old Church Road, would be built to Passivhaus standards – the most rigorous energy standards in Europe.
But in a statement to the committee, the parish council said it could not support the plan.
“The parish council has consistantly refused to support applications outside the settlement boundaries.
“For the sake of consistancy we ask that the committee supports us.”
