DILLIE Keane, comedian and star of BBC’s Grumpy Old Women, is coming to The Courtyard this November with the poignant play – My Brilliant Divorce. Nominated for ‘Best Entertainment’ at the Oliviers in 2004 after playing a sell-out season in the West End, this play is back on the road and in Hereford for one night only.

“As irresistible as a chocolate truffle…a sweet surprise” was the The Mail on Sunday’s verdict.

Wittily observant and heart-breakingly realistic, the play explores what life is like for Angela Lipsky (Dillie Keane) when her husband has a mid-life crisis and a mid-European affair. After finding herself adrift in a sea of shifty solicitors, a disapproving mother and a series of phone-in help lines, a series of bizarre dates, suspect purchases and a near reconciliation with the ex, finally a singles away weekend in the Welsh Hills brings about a surprise meeting and maybe some hope… My Brilliant Divorce is directed by Tim Luscombe, whose work includes both West End and Broadway credits.
