PAST and present players from Westfields and Kington turned out in force to mark Scott Jackson's 10 years' service at allpay.park in a testimonial match for the veteran centre-back.

Jackson got on the score-sheet for both sides when Westfields' 2001-2 West Midlands League Premier DIvision side met the Kington Town team from the same season.

Mark Davis opened the scoring for Westfields before Matt Beale levelled the scores.

Jackson headed Kington in front with his brother Danny increasing the visitors' lead.

Jackson then moved back to Westfields colours and rounded off the scoring from the penalty spot to complete an entertaining 90 minutes for the crowd of 216.

After the match, Westfields' chief executive Andy Morris made a special presentation to Jackson.

"He is an inspirational, player, captain and leader who has played a huge part in the success of Westfields over the last 10 years," said Morris.

"He has led by example and given wonderful service.

"I must thank my Westfields' manager Sean Edwards for organising this testimonial gale and also thank Mick Panniers for reassembling the Kington Town team from 12 years ago," said Jackson.

"I would also like to thank everyone at Westfields for all the help and support they have given me over my time here.

"It has been fantastic and I'll stay involved at Westfields."
