Hereford United have been docked three points by the Football League.

The Bulls have also been fined £10,000, £7,500 of which has been suspended, for fielding an ineligible player against Torquay United.

Hereford chairman David Keyte says United intend to appeal against the Football League's decision.

Torquay, who also fielded an ineligible player in the same match, have been docked one point and fined £10,000.

The Football League disciplinary hearing took place today in Bristol.

Hereford recorded a 3-1 win in the match against Torquay at Plainmoor in February.

Rob Purdie was Hereford's ineligible player and Jake Robinson, Torquay's.
