ROSS-ON-WYE won for the 13th time this season after hammering Bristol Aeroplane Company 45-0.

The Greytree outfit have been relentless in Gloucester 2 and have now scored over 600 points.

However despite the scoreline looking emphatic, Bristol enjoyed a fair share of the ball and territory.

However, they were unable to break down a well organised and dogged Ross defence, with the home side reeling in seven tries.

Chris Price got on the scoreboard after 15 minutes after bursting through a gap in the visitors' defence and his try was converted by Thai Hayward.

And with their scrums and line-outs working well, it wasn't long until Ross extended their lead.

Scrum half Ben Element picked up the ball from the back of a ruck and raced half the length of the pitch to score in the corner.

Then on the stroke of half time, Dan Field added another try, which Hayward converted.

The second half had a similar pattern, with the Ross defence holding firm and being clinical with the ball.

Marcus Barnard was the first to add to the score when a mazy run from halfway saw him weave his way to the line, with Hayward again adding the extras.

That put Ross 26-0 ahead and five more points were added when PJ Muldowney scored out wide.

Bristol hit back with a series of attacks deep in the Ross 22 and it looked like they would score.

But Barnard robbed the ball on his own line before running the length of the field to put Ross 38-0 up.

Josh Element added another score late on, which Hayward converted, to seal the emphatic win.

This Saturday, Ross travel to Bristol to take on Broad Plain.
