LUCTONIANS director of rugby Alex Davidson believes the loser of this Saturday's relegation battle at Birmingham & Solihull will struggle to stay up.

The Kingsland side are second from bottom in National League 2 North going into the game, but just one point from safety.

As well as Birmingham & Solihull, Hull are also in danger of going down, while Preston Grasshoppers and Leicester Lions are looking over their shoulders.

"It's a must win game, not numerically, but psychologically because I think it will condemn the losing team," said Davidson.

"It is a 10-pointer and will set up the winning team for the rest of the season, so there is a lot on it.

"Birmingham's home form is worst their away form, and we have some great memories of playing there.

"It shouldn't hold any fear for us."

Davidson believes the recruitment of Louis Silver on a short term loan deal from Coventry has been key to the team's revival.

"We was a mini-junior here, but then went to Worcester Academy and Bristol before going to Coventry," said Davidson.

"He was happy to come back and has done very well."
