HEREFORD Rugby Club continued their build up to the news season with a conclusive 38-7 win over near rivals Ludlow.
The Wyesiders went on the rampage in the first half, scoring five tries through Ben Osbourne, Gareth Jones, Tom Slater, Richard Preece and Leon Parson, three of which were converted by Morgan Goodall.
Ludlow rallied after the break and capitalised on some good possession with a converted try as Hereford made things difficult for themselves with handling errors in the greasy conditions.
The city side eventually turned to their forwards and a driving maul set up skipper Ali McColl for the final try, which was converted by Nat Thomas.
Hereford entertain Monmouth in their final pre-season game on Saturday.
