Ross 0 St Brendans 27 pts
ROSS were finally able to resume their Gloucester 2 home programme after a three-month interruption due to flooding.
But it was not a happy homecoming to Greytree for the south Herefordshire side who were comfortably beaten despite a competitive and physical display.
Ross worked hard in the first period to deny St Brendans much meaningful possession but they were unable to turn good territorial pressure into points and trailed 10-0 at the interval.
Ross continued to have the better of the forward play as the second half got underway.
But the visiting backs slowly came into the game and two tries around the hour-mark put paid to any hopes of a Ross comeback.
A late penalty rounded off the scoring.
The Ross front row of Dave Green, Jon Baynham and Matt Redman were awarded the man-of-the-match prize for their fine work in the scrum and in open play.
