ONE of the country's top amateur boxing coaches recently ran a course on boxing technique and skills at South Wye Police Boxing Academy.
Mick Maguire, who is the national development coach at England Boxing, was accompanied by elite level boxer Jordan Thompson and professional boxer Matt Windle.
Maguire said he was delighted to visit the Hereford club at Hinton Community Centre.
"We had a wonderful evening spent with the boxers and coaches of the South Wye Police Boxing Academy at Hinton, it was an absolute pleasure to work with this outstanding boxing club," he said.
More than 50 people visited the club to listen to MAguire and his team, including a special visit from a crew from Hereford Fire Station who called in to support the work being done by the centre with special courses for disadvantaged children and supported learning groups.
