CASTLEFIELDS cleaned up with virtually a full house of honours at the Golden Valley Pool League’s finals night at Harewood End.
Their all-conquering B team, having already clinched the league, completed the double when they defeated Les West’s Dog side in the cup.
Their A side then beat George Montague’s Yew Tree team to win the plate, while Wayne Jones saw off Scott Harris to win the Jackie Crossman Cup and overcame Tom Morgan to win the new Griff Thomas Singles trophy.
The Pairs trophy also went to Castlefields, with Jan Allen and Stan Charity beating Dave Sayce and Micky Williams (Harewood End) in the final.
The only event not won by Castlefields was the Mike Gwilliam competition, in which Jackie Scudamore and M.Gomery (Tump) beat the Dog pair of Andrew and Kate Manning.
Dot Thomas presented the trophies and the evening was very well organised by Dan Ratcliffe, his family and staff.
