PRESTEIGNE earned credible draw against leaders Haverfordwest in South Wales Hockey League Premier 2 thanks to a late equaliser from Ellie Williams.
Played at Llandrindod's artificial pitch, Presteigne came out flying on all cylinders and went 1-0 up through a Jess Goodwin goal.
This stunned the visitors but then soon pulled a goal back.
However, Presteigne soon settled and played some fantastic hockey to put pressure on the Haverfordwest defence.
Rita Tomkins duly put them back in front from a great ball in from Jody Owen.
Presteigne then had to defend well, with goalkeeper Marie Watson pulling off some good saves.
But they could do nothing to stop Haverfordwest from eventually levelling the match shortly before the break.
The second half began with a high tempo nature to it and it was Haverfordwest who went ahead.
Both teams defended well and were quick on the break.
Presteigne's hard work was rewarded two minutes from time from Williams to knock the ball home after being set up by Goodwin.
Their next game is against Rhondda this Saturday, who beat Kington 3-1 last time out.
The defeat leaves Kington bottom of the table with only three points.
