Leominster got back to winning ways with a 5-3 win against Yate in Davis Wood Hockey League Conference North.
The north Herefordshire side were on the front foot for most of the game and were able to limit Yate's attacks.
Rob Goodman duly put Leominster ahead with Harry Ellis adding a second from a good drag flick.
Yate managed to get a goal back before end of the half but Leominster came out strongly after the break.
Goodman scored again to make it 3-1 before their Gloucestershire opponents scored two quick goals.
But Leominster stormed back to win the game thanks to strikes from Josh Watkins and Dave Harvey.
In De Cymru and The Marches 1, Hereford thrashed Cardiff University 6-1, while Ros-on-Wye drew 1-1 against Stroud in De Cymru and The Marches 2.
There were wins for Hereford 2nd and Leominster 2nd in The Marches 1, with Hereford 2nd overcoming Newent 2nd 4-1 and Leominster 2nd beating Cirencester 2nd 3-2, while Ross 2nd lost 10-2 to Cleevillians 2nd in The Marches 2.
