HEREFORDSHIRE's Brandon Adams has added to his growing reputation with victory in the u15 West Midlands Badminton England tournament.

Adams won the singles competition and also reached the final of the doubles with Will McGill.

The pair were two of three Herefordshire Badminton Academy players to be among 47 entries at the tournament, along with Hugo Topping who, like his clubmates, attends Hereford Cathedral School.

Will and Hugo both won games in the singles discipline but it was Brandon who went all the way, playing and winning seven matches to take the title, beating a player from Lancashire 21, 8 in the final.

Will and Brandon reached the finals of the doubles but were narrowly beaten by a pair from Staffordshire 22, 20 in a very close game which could have gone either way.

His win in the West Midlands tournament continues a fine run of success for Brandon.

He reached the final of the Leicestershire u15 singles and came away with a silver medal having lost out 23, 21 in a very close match.

He also won the Buckinghamshire U15 BE tournament beating a player from Warwickshire 21,10 in the final.

In partnership with Chad Warren, also from the Hereford Badminton Academy, Bradndon got to the semi-finals in Buckinghamshire and came away with a bronze medal after going out 21,18 to a very strong pair from Oxford and Warwick.

All four train twice a week at the Academy and will continue to put their hard work into practice for the remaining tournament season.
