Success for Westfields and Pegasus while Hereford win a ding-dong battle at Malvern

WESTFIELDS gained some welcome league points when they saw off Midland Alliance strugglers Heather St Johns 4-3 at allpay.park.

And Pegasus Juniors kept their hold on a top-four position in the West Midlands League Premier Division with a 5-0 win at Bustleholme.

Wellington remain on target for a top-10 finish with a 3-0 success over Bartley Green but Bromyard Town continue to have a hard time after a 5-0 battering at Smethwick Rangers.

In Division One, Bartestree are still in second-place after a 3-0 home win over Shenstone but it was a day to forget for the section’s other two county sides.

Lads Club were battered 4-0 at leaders Bridgnorth and it was even worse for Ledbury Town who succumbed to their 10th reverse in 13 away games when they were hammered 9-0 at Hanwood.

Luctonians’ run of three wins came to an end when they were beaten 45-21 at Leicester Lions in National Two North.

But Hereford enjoyed a ding-dong battle at Malvern in Midlands Two North before emerging with a 37-34 victory.

Ledbury suffered a surprise 25-10 home reverse to Old Wheatleyans in Midlands Three West (South) while Herefordshire’s two Midlands Four West (North) sides were also beaten - Cannock beat  Greyhound 13-6 while

Bromyard went down 52-10 at home to leaders Harborne.
Ross have still to find their form after their unscheduled weather break and were beaten 22-14 by Aretians.
