Wins for Luctonians and Hereford as wet weather takes a grip

LUCTONIANS got back on the winning trail with a 39-5 success against Birmingham and Solihull in National Two North.

And Hereford were able to do Midlands One West neighbours Ludlow a favour by winning 18-9 at their relegation rivals Northwich.

Greyhound go top Division Five West (South) after a 26-0 success at basement club Coventry Technical.

But games involving, Ledbury, Bromyard and Ross all fell victim to the wet weather.

Wellington probably wished the weather had brought them the same respite as it did Westfields, Bromyard Town and Pegasus after their weakened side were battered 8-1 at high-flying Shawbury.

Saul Thomas scored for Wellington who were losing 5-0 at the interval to their West Midlands League Premier Division second-placed hosts.

But Leominster picked up a welcome Division One point from a 2-2 draw at Penncroft.
