POTTING Shed Z are the early pacesetters in the first division of the Hereford Snooker League.

They defeated bottom club Police A 4-1; Tom Cousins enjoyed a 63 break, with Geoff Mayor the only Police winner.

Reds are second after a narrow defeat at Miller Boys, Andy Gray with a 52 and Stuart Roberts a 72 in winning the decider for the home side.

Newly-promoted P Shed M are holding their own in third place after a 3-2 success at Farmers A. Joe Smith won the decider in comimg from 2-0 down.

Farmers C also came from behind to defeat Military B, Dave Hantschar and Andy Bromage winning the last two frames.

Flukey Few defeated clubmates P Shed X 4-1.

In Division 2, there have been a number of postponements but leading the way are Fowlers who had a narrow victory at home to Railway.

Herodians had a 4-1 home win against Farmers B, Len Ede the only away winner.
