LUKE Churchous and Steve King both triumphed as Hereford Wheelers staged events over the Easter weekend.

The first was a 10-mile time trial at Allensmore on Thursday evening, which attracted 55 riders.

Churchous of Gannett CC came home first in a time of 23 minutes 26 seconds, closely followed by Liam Bromiley from Bath Univeristy CC, who finished in 23.46.

Third place went to Jack Stanton Warren, from Ludlow CC, in 24:11.

The women's race saw Wheeler members finish in the top three positions.

Katie Price was first to the line in a time of 27.34, ahead of Christie Jones (29.36)

Third place went to Clare Fenton in 31.36.

The race was followed on Easter Monday by the annual Weobley 25 Time Trial.

NFTO rider Steve King once again showed his prowess by winning in 1 hour and 52 seconds, ahead of Dan Cutting of Climb on Bikes CC, who finished in 1:02.05.

James Richards, of Hereford Triathlon Club, was third in 1:03.05.

Katie Price was the only female rider and finished in 1:11.33

Another 10-mile time trial will take place at Leominster on Thursday evening.
