LEOMINSTER and Hereford experienced very similar fortunes on their way to 4-4 draws in their respective Davis Wood League matches.

Leominster powered to a 2-0 lead at Yate in Conference North with Ed Healey and Rob Goodman on target.

But the home side hit back to lead 3-2 at the break before Goodman levelled the scores with his second of the afternoon.

Yate then regained the lead with 10 minutes remaining but Leominster responded through Ellis to secure a point.

Despite starting with 10 men due to car problems, Hereford stormed into a three-goal lead in De Cymru and Marches 1 at Cardiff University 2nd through two Andy Rogers goals and one from Charlie Jones.

Cardiff pulled one back before the interval and powered on in the second period to take the lead with 15 minutes remaining, only for Rogers to complete his hat-trick and earn the point.

Ross have slipped to the foot of De Cymru and Marches 2 after being overhauled by previous basement club Stroud 3-1.

In Marches 1, there were second victories of the season for both Hereford 2nd, 4-3 at home to Newent 2nd, and Leominster 2nd, 3-1 at home to Cirencester 2nd.

But in Marches 2, Ross 2nd took their run of defeats to five after going down 3-1 at home to Cleevillians 2nd.
