HEREFORD suffered an uncomfortable weekend in De Cymru and Marches 1 of the Davis Wood League when they were beaten twice away from home.

On Saturday, Leo Mather's opener was the high spot of the day as Lansdown responded with three of their own .

An it was worse on Sunday when Cardiff and Met 4th cruised to a 5-1 success.

Leominster enjoyed a happier day in the North Division with goals from Dave Harvey - a fine finish from the edge of the D - and Harry Ellis gave them a 2-0 win over Firebrands.

Ross were back on home territory at Monmouth after several weeks away due to flooding and celebrated by holding De Cymru and Marches 2 leaders Stroud to a 2-2 draw.

Sam Warner put the south Herefordshire side ahead but Stroud struck back to take the lead before Jonny Cross fired home an equaliser.

In the West Clubs' Women's League, Leominster were forced to de-camp to Hereford for a second successive week due to flood damage at their Bridge Street headquarters.

But it has proved a happy temporary move as, after Nina Emery (2), Sarah Nightingale and Lisa James scored in a 4-1 win over Cheltenham Civil Service the previous week, this time Nightingale and Karen Hackley hit the target in a 2-1 victory over BAC.

In Severn 2, Hereford 2nd continue to carry all before them after beating Shipton Oliffe 3-0. Di Feely, Pip Pearson and Tess Langford were the goalscorers with fine play from Deri Horan and Lucy Debenham backing them up.

In the South Wales League Division One, Jess Goodwin's strike was not enough for Presteigne, who were beaten 2-1 at home by Swansea 3rd.

The following day, the border club returned to form with Goodwin (2), Rita Tomkins (2) and Lesley Phillips firing them to a 5-0 Marches League win over Knighton.
