PRESTEIGNE marked their first game in Division One of the South Wales Women’s League following last season’s promotion with an emphatic 9-0 win over Whitchurch.
All of the goals came before half-time with Rita Tomkins starting the rout inside 45 seconds.
Tomkins completed a quickfire hatrick and Deb Evans also bagged a first-half treble while Charlie Morris scored twice and Jess Goodwin, once.
The match was stopped early due to the away umpire having to leave but sufficient time had been played to allow the result to stand.
Kington made the long trip to Swansea for a Premier 2 clash against Swansea University and returned with a point from a 0-0 draw.
