JAMES Herdman is the new county junior champion after coming top at Kington Golf Club.
Herdman, who is a member at Kington, carded 69 to ensure his gross was the best score.
Ryan Hotchkiss, also of Kington, was second on 754 with Nial Powell, from Ross-on-Wye, also scoring 74.
Grove Golf Club's Charlotte Helme has the best net score, carding 100-32-68..
Second place went to Dominic Handscombe, of Burghill Valley, who scored 82-12-70, with Matthew Pennington, also of Burghill, finishing third.
Kington finished top overall team, thanks partly to the efforts of Herdman and Hotchkiss.
Ross Baker, who scored 80, was also part of the Kington team.
