Nick Ellis, aged 24, who has returned to amateur status at Ross GC after a spell on the professional circuit has completed a memorable double.

Herefordshire G C seniors’ section have retained the Woodlake interclub trophy event for the second year running.

Having qualified last year to host the event, Herefordshire put in a magnificent performance to win the trophy by 12 clear points from second-placed Alice Springs.

Competition was fierce with some impressive scores from all of the teams taking part.
