GROVE Golf Centre's director of golf and head pro Peter Lowery is moving to become general manager at Weston-super-Mare Golf Club.

Lowery has been at the Grove for more than nine years but will now be leading one of the links course at the Somerset town.

County golfers have an opportunity to improve their golf, and handicap, with a clinic from international golfer and sports psychologist Matthew Ellis.

Ellis, a former Walker Cup squad member, Wales amateur and professional international, and Glenmuir British club professional champion, will be giving a clinic at Kington Golf Club on Wednesday, March 19, from 6.30-9pm.

An advanced member of the PGA and University Lecturer in Sports Psychology, he will reveal how the top golfers develop strong mental routines which enable them to produce quality shots, and putts, when the pressure is on.

All proceeds from the evening will go to the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Bone Cancer Unit at the renowned Oswestry Hospital.
