A LATE Richard Greaves goal salvaged a point for Westfields against Loughborough University tonight.

It looked like Sean Edwards' side were heading for defeat until Greaves slotted home with five minutes left.

Alex Reid had earlier put Loughborough University ahead in the Midland Football League Premier Division match.

Westfields are now 10 points behind leaders Alvechurch, but still have five games in hand.

Lye are six ahead of Westfields having played four more games, but the Black Country outfit have declined to apply for promotion.

Both Westfields and Alvechurch submitted their applications before the November 30 deadline, along with Coleshill Town, Coventry United, Heanor Town and Sporting Khalsa.
