HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle says he is looking for his team to bounce back this Saturday as the Bulls start their FA Trophy adventure.

Beadle's boys, who bowed out of the FA Cup last weekend with a 4-2 defeat against Tonbridge Angels, travel to Salisbury for a Preliminary Round match.

"It's another good competition, and even though our main priority is the league, we want to win the game," said Beadle.

"Whatever team I put out, I put it out to win the game and it will no different on Saturday.

"The first 10 minutes on Saturday were awful, but after 20 minutes, for the large part I thought we did well.

"So if we can do the same this Saturday, then hopefully our supporters will go away happy."

Beadle added that he learnt a lot about his players and himself following the Tonbridge defeat.

"For me, it was a valuable learning curve and I certainly learnt a lot," said Beadle.

"They've got a lot on of non-league experience in their team and we gifted them the first two goals.

"But between the two boxes, for 60 minutes we dominated possession without really creating too many chances.

"It was always going to be an uphill task, but I certainly targeted a win.

"But we didn't deserve anything from the game."

Beadle played centre-back Jamie Willets ahead of Chris Parry because of his added height.

"We're not the biggest of teams, so with Jamie's height and heading ability, we thought it would help us out a bit better," explained Beadle.

"As much as Chris is a very mobile player, he hasn't got the height that Jamie Willets has got."
