NEW Hereford FC signing Ross Staley said it was a "no brainer" to hook up with the club.

Staley has joined the club from Southern Football League South & West side Shortwood United and is hopeful of making his debut for the Bulls for tomorrow's rearranged FA Vase fourth round game against Leicester Nirvana.

"The manager [Pete Beadle[ told me about the ambition of the club and of course everyone knows about Hereford," said Staley.

"It's a well established club and a big club and, with all the people here and the fact I knew a few of the lads before I come, in the end it was a bit of a no-brainer for me.

"I just couldn't refuse the opportunity to come."

Staley has been brought to the club due to Adam Page being ruled out for the season with a foot injury.

Beadle said Staley is a natural left-footer.

"I know Mus [Mustapha Bundu] and Pablo [Haysham] can play on the left, but they're both right-footed, so sometimes it's nice to have a balance and have a left-footer in the side," said Beadle.
