THREE second half goals saw Pegasus Juniors comfortably beat Tipton Town 3-0 in West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.
The match only went ahead following a morning pitch inspection due to snow and there was very little in terms of excitement in the first half.
In the 16th minute, Liam Taylor gained possession on the half way line and played a wall pass to Sam Pearson.
The youngster raced into the penalty area and fired a shot past goalkeeper Josh Morgan but, the ball hit the outside of the goalpost.
Three minutes later, a misunderstanding in the visitors defence between Toby Lowther and Jason Davies allowed Ravi Shangha to poke the ball wide of the goal.
From the goal kick, Josh Emery played the ball to Taylor, who was with his diagonal pass he was able to pick out Carlos Moriera but, his chest control allowed Morgan to gather the ball.
Pegasus took the lead in the 68th minute from a corner.
Ashley Lear's set-piece was not cleared by the home defence, allowing Sam Pearsopn to strike the ball on the turn from ten yards.
Pearson sealed the win five minutes from time when he took the ball around Morgan before rolling into into an unguarded net.
And it was 3-0 deep into stoppage time when Tipton striker Jake Keyworth inexplicably headed the ball into his own goal.
Pegasus host Bromyard Town tonight in a local derby.
