HEREFORD FC are due to travel to Hitchin Town on a Monday night after their fixture was postponed at the weekend.
The re-arranged fixture is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 9, kicking off at 7.45pm.
Hitchin play on a Monday night at home as they believe it gives them a ‘psychological advantage’ over their opposition and improves attendance figures.
A post on the club’s website posted in May 2016 stated: “It is interesting to see how Monday football proved very successful for Hitchin in terms of results and attendances this season.
“Opposition clubs do not seem to like travelling on a Monday so it seems to be a psychological advantage.
“There is no doubt that attendances on Mondays were far better than we used to get on Tuesdays as we attract other local fans and ground hoppers and have far less counter attractions on a Monday compared to a Tuesday.”
