HEREFORD manager Pete Beadle said he was very proud of his players after they caused an FA Cup shock at Fleetwood Town.

The Bulls thoroughly deserved to draw 1-1, with the replay set to take place at Edgar Street in just over a week.

"I thought we showed fantastic character, real desire an we deserve to be in the third round draw," said Beadle.

"Horsell didn't have to make that many saves.

"The goal, one just before that, he tipped one wide, they hit the post near the end, a couple that flashed across the goal but no one was there. So actual chances they didn't have so many.

"I thought our back five were fantastic, the three in front of them were brilliant and the three boys upfront they all put a real shift in.

"And the two who came on kept it going.

"I'm delighted for the supporters, I'm just pleased they came and gave us the backing as they always do.

"Could we try and improve a bit to give them more problems?

"We'll work on that between now and the replay.

"But whatever the draw is, whatever happens in the replay is that no one will forget today as it's been a fantastic achievement for the players to play a team 89 places above us and to hold them and to match them in many areas of the game.

"So I'm really proud of the players and what they've achieved and now hopefully we can take that into our league form."
