A FOOTBALL festival is to take place at Leominster Town next Sunday to celebrate the Women's European Championships and girls football.
Girls over the age of five are invited to attend between 1pm and 3.30pm, with a live screening of the UEFA Women's Final being shown afterwards.
With over two-and-a-half hours of football taking place, girls will be able to join in with matches, skills sessions and various Euro themed games and activities.
“We know there are loads of girls around Herefordshire who have been watching the Euros and enjoy football but don’t realise there are dedicated girls teams for them to play in," said Joe Mathias, football development officer at the Herefordshire FA.
"This is a great opportunity for them to get into football, make some new friends and find out more. Girls football has grown rapidly over the past few years and we would love to see this continue.”
