HEREFORD Lads Club striker Tom Harding says he is delighted for player-manager Danny Moon after the side sealed promotion to the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.

The city side have been unstoppable this season, dropping points in only two games.

Harding netted a hat-trick in a 6-0 win against Darlaston Town last Saturday that ensured they can't finish outside the top two places.

And a win against struggling Kington Town this weekend would clinch the title.

"After the season we've had, it wasn't necessarily a relief to have clinched promotion, but it was nice to confirm it," said Harding.

"All of the lads have put so much effort into it, especially Danny Moon and his assistants that have helped him."

Lads Club finished second last season, but were denied promotion due to ground grading requirements not being in place.

"It was a massive disappointment," added Harding.

"To be denied promotion after all the effort we put in hurt.

"But at the start of this season, Danny assured us that if we did what we did last season then we will win the league.

"Two points will confirm it, but we will be going out to win.

"Kington have had a bit of a difficult season and if they lose on Saturday they could be in big trouble.

"But we will just be focusing on ourselves and looking for the three points."

Harding has scored 22 league goals this season, the same amount as strike partner Dan Herbert.

"Some people didn't think we could play together, but I have moved slightly to the left and it has worked well," said Harding.

"It would be nice if we finished equal because we've both been consistent."

Lads Club also have a HFA County Challenge Cup Final date against Hereford to look forward to on May 1.

"All of us have had opportunities to cement our place and we've got one eye on that game," added Harding.

"Hopefully we will put on a good show."

Herbert also scored against Darlaston, with the other goals coming from Shaun Prince and Tom Dawson.

Kington go into the game on the back of a 3-1 defeat at Bromyard Town and are bottom of the division.

Liam Hodges netted twice for Bromyard, with new signing Dan McDonald scoring for Kington.
