HEREFORDSHIRE FA lost 2-1 to Cheshire in an Inter-County Under-18 Youth Match at Westfields.
Cheshire opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Fengal Madden shot past George Tindale in the Herefordshire goal.
Both Ollie Smith and Dan Pugh fired over the bar for Herefordshire, while Joe Brandon crashed a shot against a post for the away side.
Herefordshire drew level in the second half through Pugh following a goalmouth scramble before Harry Franklin drew a fine save from the Cheshire keeper.
But it was the away side that won the game thanks to a late effort from Callum James.
